Reporting
RM2000 comes with one of the strongest reporting features in the industry. There are over 100 reports that let you evaluate customers, sales, route revenue, balances and equipment status. Each report can be viewed on the screen before printing. In addition, every report can be exported to a spreadsheet for further data manipulation.

What is RM2000?
RM2000 is a complete accounts receivable program that integrates with handheld computers so that you can automate your daily procedures. RM2000 will handle customer information, route scheduling, equipment tracking, cooler rentals, invoices, statements, and much more.

RM2000 is industry specific software that will keep track of customers, inventory and your route scheduling. The software will be able to interface with handheld computers to help automated delivery operations as well.

Does it handle both AP and AR?
RM2000 only handles the accounts receivables. Accounts payables will be managed by a backend accounting program, such as: QuickBooks, Peachtree, Business Works, Great Plains, Etc.
RM2000 interacts with an accounting program by sending over the necessary General Ledger information. General Ledger details will be setup during the installation of RM2000. An accounting program never actually sends any type of data into RM2000. The only information that is affected in a clients AP program would be revenue or income accounts and deposit, sales tax liability, cash and accounts receivable.

Can it handle cooler rentals?
RM2000 can handle recurring rents.

Does it have multiple price levels?
RM2000 has up to 10 different price structures.

Is RM2000 compatible with MAC?
RM2000 is only compatible with PC/Windows.

Which handheld do you recommend?
Dell Axim X30 or X50 are the most popular handhelds. Other units that clients are currently utilizing are Casio IT-70’s and EG-800’s, Symbol’s, and Intermec.

Does RM work with Palm Pilots?
No. RM2000 only operates with Pocket PC’s or a Win CE platform.

Can invoices be printed directly onsite and can they include signature?
Yes. The driver will be able to capture signatures, and can also take hand written notes directly on the handheld computer.

How many customers can RM2000 hold?
RM2000 can hold up to 10,000 customers in its database. Once a client approaches that number, we strongly recommend for them upgrade to our RMAdvanced software.

Does RM2000 handle multiple routes?
Yes. RM2000 can handle over 50 routes / handheld computers. At this point, we will advise a client to consider moving to our RMAdvanced software.

Are there any re-licensing costs for RM2000?
Once you purchase the core package, along with any Multi-User Licenses or handheld licenses, there will not be any recurring charges. ARS offers our clients a variety of optional support plans that can be renewed each year. ARS also offers customers a call on demand basis.

Is RM2000 a point of sale system?
Yes, RM2000 is a point of sale program. Using our handheld software, invoices can be generated on the fly, at any time. Drivers can sell items while on the road and produce receipts for customers.

Does RM2000 handle forward sales?
Yes. The driver or sales person can use the handheld to schedule a forward sale. At the end of the day, all of the activity that has taken place will transfer back into RM2000.

Does the data get stored on the internal memory of the handheld computer?
No. All route data is stored in a Secure Digital or Compact Flash card. This helps secure data in cases where the handheld is damaged or destroyed. Over 90% of the time, your storage card will be undamaged.

How is daily route data transferred from PC to the handheld computer?
The most common method is using a USB card reader to transfer data from the storage card back to the PC, and vice versa. The other method is with a USB cradle. The handheld is docked and the information is transferred from the storage card back to the desktop system. Our newest method involves an integrated wireless handheld and access points within your facility. The data is transferred wirelessly.

Can I create my own custom reports with RM2000?
RM2000 has over 100 canned reports that are included with the Core Package. If you still cannot find the report that you desire, RM2000 makes it very easy to import data into Excel, Crystal Seagate Reports and other types of report generating tools.

What’s the typical time period to setup RM2000?
Typically, clients that utilize RM2000 Version 9.2 take anywhere from 1-3 months before they get up and running. This simply depends on the time and manpower that you have to dedicate to the setup process.

Does the Handheld Computer communicate with a normal 8-1/2 x 11 Portable Printer?
We do not have support for anything other than the printers that are displayed on our Web site.
