Design Features

Please note that the UPS Logistics software is not included in the R-Dex module.  R-Dex is the interface between RMA CORPORATE OR ENTERPRISE and UPS Logistics software.
The two programs that R-DEX is designed to operate with is UPS Roadnet and UPS Territory Planner.  Below you will see the features and capabilities of these two programs.
Roadnet

Territory Planner  
Creating optimized territories and efficient static route plans can be an enormous challenge-from both a time and information perspective. In many cases, these territories and route plans are based on best guesses with regard to runtime, costs, volume, etc. They use company resources inefficiently and are often very expensive.  
Territory Planner is a territory and route design tool that allows you to create well-defined territories and routes. Historical data including delivery days, open/close times, preferred delivery times, volume, and geographic location is used to create optimized and balanced territories, routes and stop sequences. All within an easy-to use interface that allows re-routes to occur when they should.
Territory Planner can help:  

• Balance Delivery and Sales Territories - Workloads can be evenly balanced in order to create equal delivery and sales territories.
• Optimize Route Sequencing - Drilling down to the lowest level the user defines the optimal route sequence all the while adhering to open/close times and time windows.

How it Works

The Route Data Exchange (R-Dex) module is the interface between RMA CORPORATE OR ENTERPRISEand UPS Logistics Territory planner or Roadnet software.  It enable you to export your routes into UPS Logistics software and then import it back into RMA CORPORATE OR ENTERPRISEso that your route people can operate their routes most efficiently.  Please select Design Features to learn more about the UPS Logistics Software.  The R-Dex module helps you:

Determine what data you need
Export it through our interface
Process the data in your route optimization program
Import the data back to Route Manager
Do processing as needed

System Requirements

You must currently have RMA CORPORATE OR ENTERPRISE installed on your computer to use the R-Dex interface. You purchase the Roadmap or Territory Planner software separately from UPS.
