MangoPilot™ is an all new GPS solution for companies using handheld computers for route delivery, field service work, etc. It allows your driver to select a stop on his handheld and then touch, “Take me there.” Using a Bluetooth connection, the address is transmitted to the MangoPilot GPS Display unit which then determines your current location and calculates the most efficient route to your next stop. Can I use my GPS unit in more than one truck?
Yes you can. By purchasing the optional mounting stand and DC charger for each truck, you can save by purchasing fewer G14 or G15 display units. Then, you simply slide and snap the G14/G15 into the docking cradle and you are ready to go! You can easily remove it each day for safekeeping.
Is it possible to use the G14/G15 display unit as a ‘simple’ GPS and key in an address and have the system navigate me to that location?
Yes. Even though the MangoPilot is integrated to your handheld, you can use the MangoPilot in manual mode and key in any address that you would like to go to.
Isn’t it illegal to mount the GPS unit to your windshield?
Yes. Some states and countries prohibit the placement of the GPS display unit on the windshield. Check with your local DMV for an explanation of what is ‘legal.’ You should always operate your vehicle safely and not be distracted by GPS the unit.
What are points of interest? (POI)
These are items such as gas stations, restaurants, hotels, etc. They show up on the map as icons to help you find such places quickly.
Is there an external antenna available for the GPS display unit?
At this time, there is no external antenna compatible with the G14/G15 display unit. Under most circumstances, the internal antenna is more than adequate for navigational purposes.
Nothing happens when I turn the Display unit on!
Plug the display unit to external power, and wait about 15 minutes for it to charge. Sometimes, after charging for a while, you may to press the reset button to get it to start.
I have the navigational voice turned on, but I do not hear anything. Help!
You may have the volume set too low. To increase the volume, tap on the Speaker Icon located in the upper right corner of the Navigation program screen and set the volume level accordingly.
